The Royal United Services Institute of Nova Scotia provides a forum for the study, promotion and debate of defence, security and safety affairs.
The Security Affairs Committee (SAC) is the Institute’s internal forum for discussion and comment on defence and security affairs affecting the Canadian Armed Forces, the RCMP and other services. SAC activities are one of the main efforts of the Institute in support of its aim of fostering knowledge of and appreciation for defense and security of Canada. The committee is a cornerstone of the raison d’être of the Institute.
Currently the SAC is chaired by Major John McLearn Intelligence Branch (retired).
