Security Affairs Committee – Chair:  Major John McLearn, Canadian Army (retired)

The Security Affairs Committee (SAC) is the Institute’s internal forum for discussion and comment about defence, security and safety affairs affecting the Canadian Armed Forces, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and other services.   SAC activities are one of the main efforts of the Institute in support of its aim of advancing knowledge of and appreciation for defence, security and safety of Canada.  The committee meets every two weeks in person and online.

Veterans Affairs Committee – Chair: Colonel Dick Jamer, Royal Canadian Air Force (retired)

The Veterans Affairs Committee (VAC) researches and discusses veterans affairs, especially matters of access to veterans services.  Members of the VAC meet with government committees to state concerns and positions.  The VAC is active advocating on behalf of support for veterans.  The committee meets in person at the call of the chair.
