Royal United Services Institute of Nova Scotia
The Royal United Services Institute of Nova Scotia [RUSI(NS)] serves as a discussion and education forum on Canadian defence and security issues.
Incorporated in 1928, the Institute includes serving and retired officers and members of the Canadian Armed Forces, RCMP, other security agencies, business, industry, community leaders and other interested individuals.
The Institute’s mission:
- support the implementation of effective foreign, defence and security policies
- encourage the development and maintenance of combat military forces and other highly trained security forces
- prepare papers, arrange meetings/seminars and conduct briefings to explain the need for properly trained and equipped forces to defend/secure Canada and to contribute to international stability
The InstituteĀ is located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and is affiliated with Royal United Services Institutes across Canada and around the world.
